I've not always been fond of this genre. Most christian anything tends to be cheesy at the very least. However, I am reading the shack by William P. Young, and I am loving. Also, I want to read this book called Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. My Mom and aunt have both read and loved it, and my mom doesn't really like to read. If anyone can help me find this title, I would appreeciate it. If anyone can recommend any other Christian titles, that would be fine too. I have read the left behind series as well. Feel free to leave your comments here about anything that I've mentioned above or anything that you feel would be beneficial. Thanks

OK, for some who are looking for good christian books, here are some good one. Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, Free fall by Kristen Heitzmann, The Shack by William P. Young, and A Voice In The Wind by Francine River. Rivers and Heitzmann mostly write romantic stuff although A Voice In The Wind and Freefall are very suspenseful as well. The Shack.... you['ll just have to check it out. It's awesome! It not your predictable and stupid christian fiction. It's in a class all its own.

There are some good Christian Fiction books. There are some good series too. The Dearest Dorothy series by Charlene Baumbich is very good if you like stories about small towns. There are 6 books in that series. Also, check out The Mitford Years series by Jan Karon. Again, if you like stories about small town life, you'll enjoy these books. There 9 books in that series. Just a few suggestions for you. Enjoy.

Thanks so much. I'd heard of the Jan Karon series but not the first one you mentioned. I'll check it out.

Mitford is great--I'm not a huge fan of most Christian fiction for the reasons FaithfulAngel mentioned, but Mitford I love.
Gilbert Morris is pretty good historical Christian FICTION, THOUGH, SADLY AFTER A WHILE HIS PLOTS BECOME ONE AND THE SAME.
Janette Oak's good.
I can't think of any more right now, but if I do, I'll post. Mitford is set in NC and the main character's a pastor. FaithfulAngel, I think you'll like it much.

You might like Dee Henderson. She is a great Christian author. Her books are largely romance but she throws in a little adventure as well. Her series the O'Maley Family was very good. It is very adventrue orinted but romance is still right there. Also Angela Hunt is good. I haven't read a lot of her books, but the ones I have read were good.

Hope you enjoy.

Debbie Macomber and Janet Tronstad are both very good.
